I have to do this every once in a while to maintain my sanity, while the clueless statist in the White House destroys the last vestiges of self governance to be found on earth. Mitt Romney? Really? Tim Pawlenty? Are you serious? John Huntsman? You have got to be kidding me!

There is a great temptation to be sucked in by the tinkerers and tweakers; the welfare state managers. They can "fix" the economy, they say. They don't have a freedom agenda. This group needs Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi as foils to demonstrate just how effectively they can manage the mess.

We need an outsider, an insurgent, someone not beholden to the GOP establishment and beltway press corps. Someone viewed as "extreme" by this group is just what America needs. Why did Trump resonate, Christie, Palin? They have a direct manner of speaking to issues they want to address.

Those trying to kill Reagan all over again are those who support the failed middle way, including Republican vote counters like Karl Rove, Mike Murphy and Alex Castellanos,pressers like Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, Charles Krauthammer, Fred Barnes, Bill Krystal and sadly, increasingly, George Will.

Where are the William Saffire's and Ronald Reagan's? Here's to a couple of dead white guys. Enjoy!
